OBITUARY

Death of Miss Lurana Doolittle

Miss Lurana Doolittle for several years a resident of Nevada, died very suddenly early Thursday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. J. F. Martin, aged 70 years, 10 months and 14 days. Miss Doolittle had been in her usual health during the day Wednesday and had done up the house work after dinner and supper. Along in the evening, however, she was taken seriously ill, and she died shortly after midnight. Miss Doolittle had lived here with Mrs. Martin several years; but he was seriously disabled by rheumatism, and on that account she had been as closely confined to the house as to make few acquaintances. She is, however, very highly spoken of by those who had had the fortune to meet her. No funeral services have been held here; but her body was taken this morning to Norway in Benton county, where the funeral and interment will take place. Mrs. Martin and her brother, Mr. Doolittle of Des Moines, accompanied the remains to that place.
