Death of Caroline E. Moretz

Miss Caroline Elizabeth Moretz died Thursday evening at the home of herself and her sister Mary Moretz in this city north of the Baptist church. She had been an invalid for about two years, and the occasion of her illness was consumption. She was born in DeKalb county, Illinois of German parentage January 4, 1868, and she died as stated at Nevada, Iowa, May 2, 1907, aged 39 years, 3 months and 28 days. She removed in girlhood with her parents to Sherman township in this county, and several years ago she removed to Nevada, where for a time she and her sister Mary, kept a restaurant. She was one of a family of six sons and six daughters, and was a woman of much recognized worth. She had long been a member of the German Lutheran church. Her funeral will be conducted from the house Saturday at 10 o'clock by Rev. J. O. Simon.
