Mrs. O. G. Nernes passed from this life at her home northeast of Slater, last week Monday. She had been ill for a long time, when, on the Wednesday evening previous to her death, she fell into what seemed a peaceful sleep. It was a sleep, however, from which she could not be awakened, and she passed away as stated. She was born in Norway in 1840, and leaves a husband, one son and four daughters.
