ROLAND ROCKETS

Mrs. Bertha Chelswick, wife of F. Chelswick died at her home in Roland, Friday, January 18, aged 86 years. Mr. and Mrs. Chelswick were among the pioneers of this settlement, having resided in this township nearly fifty years. Their country home was the farm northwest of Roland, now owned by T. O. Savern. A number of years ago they moved to Roland where they have since resided. For the past few years she had been quite feeble caused mainly from old age. Of her family there remains living the husband and four sons, Eric, Isaac, Lars and Oliver. The funeral was held at Salems church Monday afternoon attended by a very large number of the oldest settlers of the settlement who came to pay their tribute of respect to one they had known and esteemed so long.
