The sad news reached here from Chicago Wednesday, that Anna Wydell daughter of Nels Wydell and sister of Prof. Wydell of the Roland schools had died there after undergoing an operation. For a while Miss Wydell had been making her home in Chicago with a married sister. A week or so ago she was taken sick and believing she would soon recover, requested that her sickness be kept from her people here, desiring no to give them as she believed unnecessary alarm. At the hospital it was found necessary that an operation should be performed and about this time a message to that effect was sent to her brother here, Prof. Wydell. Her sister, Miss Ada, of this place started for Chicago at once but before her arrival Anna had died. The remains were brought here Friday afternoon and the funeral held at Bergen's church Saturday afternoon. Anna Wydell was of the most cheerful disposition, was fond of books and literature, and was of the character that wins friends everywhere. Her death is sadly mourned here by classmates and associates.
