Friends and relatives here of Dr. E. S. McCord were notified last evening of the death of his wife, which event followed an operation which she underwent a few days before. Mrs. McCord's maiden name was Siddle, and she was a resident of Delmar in Clinton county, where he first began practicing and where he returned during the past year after a residence of some years at Ames. Chas. P. McCord and others of the doctor's family left this morning for Delmar to attend the funeral.
