Mrs. Andrew Larson had received word of the death of her step-father, E. L. Tomtengen which occurred at his home at Twin Valley, Minnesota, Monday afternoon. he was never a resident of Nevada but his widow, who was formerly Mrs. Highland of this city, is well and favorably remembered here and will have the sympathy of many friends.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Andrew Larson" was Lena Highland. Lena Highland was the daughter of Nels O. Highland and Ingebor Christina Jacobson. Her father, Nels O. Highland, died on 17 October 1888 and her mother remarried Even Larson Tomtengen.
