Death of Alpheus Chandler

Alpheus Chandler died this morning, 10 inst., at the home of Gid Wire. He came there from Des Moines on last Monday and was down town Wednesday for his mail, feeling as well as usual and ate a hearty dinner, after which he lay down on lounge to rest and in a short time became unconscious and remained so until the time of his death. Mr. Chandler was 84 years old and had lived in and around Cambridge for over 50 years. Funeral arrangements are not yet announced.
