OBITUARY

Mary Pool Kerr

There passed away recently at Albert Lea, Minnesota Mrs. Mary Pool Kerr, aged something over fifty years of age. Mrs. Kerr was a daughter of the late Mrs. Campbell and a sister of the Elzy Pool and Mrs. Ben Carr. For about two years she lived at the Bricker home, and there and elsewhere she made upon those who came to know her the very strong impression of being a refined and most self-sacrificing woman, of whose character and devotion one is not likey to speak too highly. Her husband was not so admirable, and he served a considerable part of a term in the Minnesota penitentiary; but she devoted herself to his service and ultimately secured his pardon. Since his release last June they have been living at Albert Lea, and a letter from her there a month or so ago was full of happiness and hope. She was delicate woman, who worked beyond her strength, and whose death probably is the consequence of her faithfulness and too long continued effort.
