Kenneth L. Frey, 73, of Huxley, IA formerly of Clarence, IA, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Bethany Life Manor in Story City, IA.

Ken was born in Cedar County, IA on March 20, 1943 to Otto and Leona (Klatt) Frey. He graduated from Clarence High School in 1961. Ken married Barbara L. Lilienthal on November 27, 1965 in Clarence, IA. He later married Delores K. Riessen Wuestenberg on September 10, 1982 in Durant, IA. He farmed in Cedar County his entire life and owned and operated D & K Farms and Trucking.

Ken was a member of Cornerstone Church of Ames. He enjoyed going for Sunday afternoon drives and going out to eat with friends and family. He and Delores loved to dance. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting. Above all, Ken loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially watching his grandchildren's activities.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, IA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at funeral home with Pastor Troy Nesbitt of Cornerstone Church of Ames officiating.

Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery.

Ken is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Delores of Huxley, IA, his children: Brent Frey of Durant, Jayne Frey (Jamie Daniels) of Durant, Lori (Lee) Farrier of St. Peters, MO, Christy (Mike) Condon of Spring Valley, IL, Todd (Kendra) Wuestenberg of Huxley, IA and Amy (Wade) Wetlaufer of St. Joseph, MO, 16 grandchildren and his brother Robert (Mary Jane) Frey of Durant.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Church of Ames or Bethany Life Manor in Story City in his memory.
