Ms. Margaret Frances Wilson, of Ames, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Northridge Village in Ames. Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Iowa Cremation.

Margaret Frances McGrath was born to Francis McGrath and Julia (McEvoy) McGrath on April 5, 1935 in Yonkers, New York. On May 25, 1952, Margaret married James Leonard Wilson in Yonkers, New York.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Ellen Hess of Ames, IA; son Francis John Wilson of Harkness, NY; three siblings: Carolyn Prokop, Rose Laconte, and Frank McGrath; grandchildren Michael, Robert Jr., Steven, Jesse, Jamie, Bill Jr., Melissa, Alyssa, Jennifer, Dawn and Frank, Jr.; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four children: Peggy, Jimmy Jr., Wayne and Billy Wilson and two siblings: Julia Salerno and Anne Marie Mendelson.
