SLATER

Mrs. Christina Wickman passed away rather unexpectedly at the Henry Jondal home Thursday afternoon Feb. 17 and was buried last Sunday. Deceased had been sick less than two days and her trouble was not thought to be of a serious nature, a weak heart in connection with her other trouble caused her sudden death. She had just partaken of her afternoon coffee and was seated in her rocking chair by the side of her bed when she had an attack of heart failure which ended her life. Mrs. Wickman was born in Sweden in 1828 and reached an age of almost 82 years. She emigrated to this country about fifty years ago, the greater part of this time he lived in Sheldahl and Slater. Funeral services were held at the St. Luke church Sunday afternoon and were attended by her two daughters, Mrs. Sutherland, of Lake Benton, Minn., and Mrs. Esping of Chicago, more distant relatives and a large number of friends. Interment was made in the Armstrong cemetery near Madrid.
