Died- At the residence of Capt. W. A. Wier, Monday morning, February 3rd, Mrs. Mary A. Wellington aged 82 years, 5 months and 21 days. Mrs. Wellington came here from New York state with her husband fourteen years ago and has enjoyed good health all these years; but five weeks ago she was taken ill with pneumonia from which she never rallied. Her husband left her a widow six years ago, and she has lived with one of her children here ever since. Two sons and two daughters survive her: Mrs. Blakeslee, Mrs. W. A. Wier, J. A. Wellington and a son living in New York state. Her funeral occurred on Wednesday and she was buried beside her husband in the cemetery near Sheffield school house. Mrs. Wellington has been a member of the Protestant Methodist church from her youth and died confident of a better life hereafter.
