Paulien Carmody Standefer, 91, of Mesa, a retired school teacher, died March 30, 1995. She was born in Iowa and was a Peace Corps veteran. Survivors include her stepdaughters, Rosezella Smith, Yvonne Howell, Naomi Mosely and Lillian Kelley; and two stepsons, Hershel and Orville Jr. Services will be held in Iowa. McLaren's Funeral Home, Des Moines, Iowa.
