The death of Nels Nelson takes from this township one of its best citizens. He was a man of influence, this influence coming from his true worth to the community. His opinions were guided by the principle of right and in this he was definite and unwavering. At the time of his death he was president of the school board and a director of the creamery company. In his official position his aim and purpose was the same as in private affairs, to deal just with all men and at all times. For such a character death has no fears. Died at the age of 53 years admired and respected by those he mingled with in life. A wife, two sons and two daughters mourn the loss of a dear husband and father.
