Carl Peterson Passes On

Carl Peterson died at his home in Cambridge Sunday, October 31, aged 71 years, 7 months and 27 days.

The deceased was a native of Sweden. There at the age of thirteen he was apprenticed to the trade of shoemaking, and this occupation he followed till he laid down work for good. He was married in 1870 to Mary Kling, in 1881 he brought his family to America, and settled in Des Moines, and in 1883 he became a citizen of Cambridge. Mrs. Peterson, and their son Charles E. of Cambridge, and their daughters, Mrs. Ellen M. Hanson of Ames and Mrs. Anna Wills of Cambridge survive him. His funeral was conducted Tuesday by Rev. Clark.
