Mrs. W. O. Payne received word this morning of the death on Thursday last of her aunt, Mrs. Margaret A. Ball, on account of whose illness she made her trip to California earlier in the season. Mrs. Ball had lived at Gilroy, California, for many years; but her death occurred at San Jose, to which point her illness had compelled her husband and herself to remove. She had twice visited her niece in Nevada and was known to quite a number of Nevada people. She was in her eightieth year.
