OBITUARY

Mrs. Venna Norris Kirkpatrick

Advice comes, through Mrs. Grace Eggleson of Sumner, Iowa, that her sister, Mrs. Kirkpatrick, formerly Miss Venna Fredica Norris, died on or about August 29 at Tacoma, Washington. The deceased was the youngest daughter of Mrs. Eletha (Fred) Norris, and she was still a little girl when her mother moved west with the family. She had grown up at Tacoma, making back to her old home only one visit, and that a hurried one, nearly two years ago. She married at Seattle September 21, 1910, to Oscar Kirkpatrick, and their home had been a Tacoma. She was about twenty years of age and is remembered with much affection by her old friends in Nevada. Sympathy of friend in Nevada will go especially to Mrs. Norris, whose next younger daughter, Maude, died since her removal west and who is now called upon to mourn her youngest. The occasion of Mrs. Kirkpatrick's death is not reported.

P. S.--Later advices are that Mrs. Kirkpatrick was found in their flat, lying on a table and over an open burner of the gas range. The Tacoma papers, clippings of which have been received in town, indicate suicide, but the family and friends know of no reason why she should have to take her life and the news from them is that they cling to the theory of accident.
