Eva Elizabeth Milligan
March 19, 1917-Jan. 21, 2002

Eva Elizabeth Milligan, 84, of Maxwell, died Monday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames from cancer. Funeral services will be a 11 a.m. Friday at Maxwell Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery.

Eva Elizabeth Milligan was born March 19, 1917, in Lexington, Mo., the daughter of Millard and Louretta (Looney) Lowe. She graduated from the Maxwell High School in 1935. She married Nickolas Leo Thielen April 23, 1938, in Elkhart. He died in 1959. She married Richard "Dick" Milligan in Nashua June 17, 1961. She had worked for 20 years at R.H. Donnelly in Nevada. She was a member of the Maxwell Christian Church, the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and Maxwell Literary and Social Club.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Larry N. Thielen of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Patricia Smith of Maxwell; five grandsons, one stepgranddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and three stepgreat-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and two brothers.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.
