Obituary

George Johnson was born in Denmark, Europe, in the year 1843 and died at his home northeast of town on Saturday, April 10. In 1865 he emigrated to America coming direct to this community. In 1875 he was united in marriage to Gunvora Chelsvig, who died in 1885. He married again in 1885 to Olene Johnson, who now with their four children survives him. The children are John G. Johnson, Mrs. Howard Ersland; Christina Johnson and Otis Johnson.

The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Salems church.
