Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

John "Junior" F. Pierschbacher, son of John L. and Helen E. Pierschbacher, was born October 19, 1931 in Lucas County, Iowa. He was a graduate of Chariton High School. At 24, after a sermon from Lee Hutchinson, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He was united in marriage to Judith E. (Askren) Pierschbacher on August 19, 1956. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.

Junior and Judy had three children, Debbie Pierschbacher, John (Sue) Pierschbacher and Brenda (Scott) DeTar; six grandchildren, Daniel Pierschbacher, Amy (John) Huynh, Bethany Pierschbacher, Peter DeTar, David DeTar and Joshua DeTar; and two precious great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason.

Junior retired from John Deere after working there 21 years. Junior and Judy enjoyed traveling and eventually took up quilting.

Junior passed away August 29, 2016 at 84 years of age.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their friendship over the years.
