Obituary
Services for Mrs. A.L. Severson were held at the Adams chapel on Monday, March 12, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Walnut Grove cemetery, five miles southwest of Ames.

Mrs. Severson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Esella Jane Severson was born on her father's farm near Cambridge, Iowa, June 3, 1869, the daughter of Charles and Esella Anderson Wills.

On November, 1887 she married Anton Rasmus Severson and to them 12 children were born. Charles Townsend, first born son, died in infancy in 1889.

For 47 years they lived on a farm eight miles southeast of Ames.

In 1934 they retired and moved to Ames and lived at 2322 Storm Street for seven years. They moved to Maxwell in 1941.

Mr. Severson preceded her in death, June 14, 1943.

Surviving are eleven children, 88 grand children, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

The children are: Mrs. Essella Bennett, Des Moines, Joseph E., Ball Club, Minn., Howard M., Ames, Iowa, Mrs. Murrel Scott, Maxwell, Iowa, Mrs. Jay P. Robertson, Minnetonka Beach, Minn.; Glen M. Garland, Utah, Chester C., Ankeny, Ia., Mrs. Hugh E. Gordon, Marion, Ia., Bueland T., Marion, Ia., Paul V., Ames, Ia., and Mrs. Harvey Jordan, Ankeny, Ia.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Charels W. Wills, Fort Dodge, Jessie M. Wills, Hynes, Calif., John M. Wills, Long View, Wash., Mrs. Hannah Myers, Ames, Ia., and Mrs. Belle Purvis, Ames, Ia.

Mrs. Severson's life was an outstanding example of love and service to her family and friends.
