Obituary
Ernest L. Sanders

Ernest Lester Sanders was born in Milford twp., Story county, Ia., Nov. 11, 1897. He was the fourth son of Ede and Eva Sanders, he grew to manhood in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood. He was united in marriage to Miss Lela Mae Dearth, March 1920, to this union was born one child, a daugher Alberta Marie, at this time his wife passed away.

He passed away on March 2, 1945 at Emmetsburg, Ia., following an operation.

Short services were held at the Martin Funeral home in Emmetsburg at 9:30 Sunday morning. Then they proceeded to the Pleasant Grove church where services were held with C. E. Lookingbill in charge. He was buried beside his wife in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Darel Heschke, one granddaughter, Leah Mae Heschke, his aged father, W. W. Sanders, two brothers, Claude of Graettinger and Floyd of Gilbert.
