Olaus Imsland Died in Prime of Life at the Home of Mother in McCallsburg

At the age of 24 years, 2 months and 24 days Olaus Imsland was called by the angel of death at 9 o'clock last Thursday morning, June 26, 1919.

He came to this county with his folks when a mere babe and at the age of five years he was sun struck, from which he did not seem to fully recover. He had spells of sickness almost every year since that time, each spell seemed to leave him in a weaker condition than before and when he was taken down with the flu this spring his strength gradually failed him until he died in the name of the Lord who created him.

He was always of a kind and loving disposition, very thankful for what they did for him and showed his appreciation by not being satisfied until he could do something in return. He will be greatly missed by his mother, sister and brother and those who stood near to him. But they have a reason to feel comforted in the thought that he is now safe in the arms of Jesus. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou are with me; Thy rod and They staff they comfort me," it brings a balm to the wounded heart. Thus closed the life of this noble young man.

Funeral services were held in Bethany church at McCallsburg last Saturday at 2:30 and interment took place in the McCallsburg cemetery.
