CLARENCE I. DOOLITTLE

Funeral services for Clarence Ira Doolittle were held April 14 from the Grace United Methodist Church, Story City with the Rev. Paul H. Beckman officiating. Burial was in the Sheffield Cemetery, Story City.

Mr. Doolittle, the son of Ira and Gusta Doolittle, was born April 19, 1904, in Story County. He had been in poor health for the past 16 months and died April 11 at the Story City Memorial Hospital.

He was married to Mary Maroney at Webster City, Aug. 26, 1927. They farmed in the Story City area until recently when they retired and moved to Story City.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Brubaker, West Union; two sons, Delano Doolittle, Gilbert and Dennis Doolittle, Boone; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Velma Larson, Roland; Mrs. Gladys Reece, Alexander, and Mrs. Irma Olson, Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister in infancy and a brother, Lester Doolittle.

Pallbearers were Noble Partlow, Harvey Jorgenson, Franklin Paulson, Earl Baldus, Pat Nolan and Gaylen Dodds.
