Funeral card-Mark Everett Wilson July 26, 1907-Dec 17, 1994
Mark Everett Wilson 87, of Ames, (IA) died Saturday of congestive heart failure at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Colo. Burial will follow in the Colo Cemetery, with Masonic rites conducted by the Columbia Masonic Lodge #292 of Colo.
Mark was born in rural Colo to Charles B. and Lydia D. (Danskin) Wilson. He married Helen Hunt on June 4, 1932 at Redfield,(IA) She preceded him in death in 1987. He married Pauline (Perry)
Koch on April 6, 1988 in Ames. For two terms, he had attended Simpson College in Indianola, and he had also attended Iowa State University. he had been a resident of Ames for eight years.
He was a 50-year member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #292, AF and AM of Colo; a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Isabelle Chapter #271 of Colo; and a member of the Farm Bureau, Kiwanis Club, and the United Methodist Church of Colo.
He is survived by his wife, of Ames; a daughter, Janet L. Wilson of Des Moines; two sisters, Agnes Henry of Boone and Alice Ball of Ames; a step-son, Jack Koch of El Cajon, CA; three step-sons; and two step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife.
Interment in the Colo Cemetery, Colo, Story Co. IA.
