Nevada newsaper-David Danskin, 2nd child of James and Lydia Dean Danskin was born 19 Oct 1836, at Newburgh, New York, died at Nevada, Iowa on 16 April 1896. When a young child, he came west where he worked on a construction gang of the Chicago Northwestern Railroad which was being built through Iowa at that time. He married Agnes Clyde, 28 March 1872 at Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She was the oldest daughter of Nellie Caldwell Clyde and granddaughter of Agnes Danskin Caldwell. David's wife, Agnes, was born 30 Jun 1851 and died at Nevada, Iowa on 17 Feb 1899. David and Agnes settled on a farm on the prairie home of this place, which in later years became the home of the daughter, Lydia Wilson and her family, and later, the home of the granddaughter, Agnes Wilson Henry and her family.
Interment in the Colo Cemetery, Colo, Story Co. IA.
