Mrs. Joe Steward Died Last Evening; Funeral Saturday

Mrs. Joe Steward, 84, passed away Thursday evening at the Story county home, northwest of Nevada, where she had made her home for the past three years or more.

Funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Morfoot Funeral home, after which the body will be laid to rest in the Colo cemetery.

She leaves one son, Arthur Steward of Fayette, a number of more distant relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Steward was a native of Belvidere, Ill, and came with her parents to Colo as a girl and there she was married to Joe Steward. They soom located on a farm northeast of Ames where Mr. Steward became one of the leading swine breeders of Iowa.

Mr. Steward was an invalid for a number of years before his death which occurred about six years ago.
