Former Ames resident died

Word has been received here of the death of a former Ames resident, Mrs. Arthur Steward, 80 Indio, Calif.

Mrs. Steward died May 24. Burial will be in Indio, Monday at 1 p.m.

She was born March 21, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elial Carey. She lived on their farm northeast of Ames until she married March 23, 1913.

She is survived by her husband and one brother, Edward, of Marion.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest, of Ames.
