Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Burnette Elsie Liming was born November 28, 1929 to Henry and Magdalena (Krueg) Hepperle in Baker, Mont. and grew up on a farm near Plevna. There were no country schools in the area so she stayed with her grandmother who lived in Plevna for all of her grade school years. Her parents purchased a farm near Baker, where she attended high school, graduating in 1947. She worked as a billing clerk for a utility company until she married Lawrence Liming in 1949. They moved to Iowa two years later to be near his family. Burnette always missed her Montana family and friends.

Most of her married life she had a part time job as an office employee or helped her husband renovate and operate a motel or hotel. Her last job was at a postal station, which she enjoyed.

Burnette died at 86 years of age on May 13, 2016, following a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Burnette is survived by two sons, Dennis Liming of Ames and Gary (Joan) Liming of Ankeny; her granddaughter, Tricia (Nick) Lambert of Ankeny; her grandson, Loren (Kiley) Liming of Lawrence, Kan.; two great-grandsons, Joshua Lambert and Jacob Lambert; her brother, Carl (Gloria) Hepperle; and three sisters, Dolores (Stan) Erlenbush, Elaine (Paul) Schieffer and Edith (Dick) Schwede.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Lawrence A. Liming; and her seven-year old sister, Eleanor Hepperle.

Memorials may be donated to Kale Kares, LLC, a not-for-profit organization supporting the University of Iowa Children's Hospital Child Life Program.
