COLO

FORMER RESIDENT DIES

Word came Friday of the death of Mr. Austin Clark Mullen who died at his home in Hawarden, Iowa, Thursday evening. He had suffered from dropsy for some time which disease caused his death. He was about sixty five years of age. In earlier days Mr. Mullen was one of Colo's business men, but about thirty-file years ago he and his family moved to Hawarden which has since been their home. Many of older residents of Colo remember Mr. Mullen as a pleasant, kindly man who always looked on the sunny side of life. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, one daughter (Mrs. Grace Dawson of Parker, S. D.) three sons (H. L. of Hawarden and A. F. and R. R. of Sioux City) and four grand children besides other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Hawarden after which the wife and sons accompanied the remains to Colo where they were met at the train Sunday morning by a number of friends. They went directly to the Colo cemetery where brief services were held and the beloved form tenderly laid to rest. Sincere sympathy is extended to the sorrowing ones.
