DEATH FOLLOWS FALL FROM TREE

H. C. Craver, aged 74 died at his home in this city at 10:15 Tuesday morning from a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered after a fall from a cherry tree on Monday. Mr. Craver had bee picking cherries and had a bad fall when the limb broke causing him to fall. He was able to walk into the house however but upon examination it was found that he was suffering from several cracked ribs and bruised up considerably.

This accident happened about 11:30 in the morning. At about 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon Mr. Craver suffered a stroke of apoplexy and from this he never fully regained consciousness and died Tuesday morning at the time stated. He leaves besides his wife to mourn his death one son, F. N. Craver, of El Paso, Texas and five daughters, namely: Mrs. N. C. Fry, of this city; Mrs. S. C. Smith, of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Fred Golly, of Zearing; Mrs. Frank Smith, of Blue Earth, Minn. and Mrs. Ed Roberts, of Warrensburg, Mo. The funeral was held from the Christian church, of which the deceased had long been a member, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the services being in charge of Rev. C. C. Root.

H. C. Craver was born in Albany, New York, in 1845. He was married to Emmaline Norton at Earlville, Ill., and moved to Iowa in 1891. On moving to Iowa they located on a farm near Zearing where they continued to reside until 1900 when the family moved to Nevada where they have since resided. Mr. Craver was an excellent gentleman, loved and respected by all who knew him and aside from the bereaved family will leave a host of friends to mourn his
