She was always an A student and was awarded a full tuition college scholarship upon her graduation from Gary High School in 1952. Mittie Ann was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her family. Her home-cooked meals and baked goods were always enjoyed. She loved to sing old fashioned hymns, and enjoyed reading and corresponding with friends and relatives. Her handmade cards were the delight of all who received them. A caring person who always put others first. Mittie Ann epitomized grace and generosity. She met everyone with a smile. Most of all she sought to show God's love to others. She was happy knowing that all of her children and grandchildren are trusting Jesus as their Savior.
