Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Winona Marilyn Coy was born June 12, 1927 to Harold Merrill and Gladys Mae (Ball) Woodard in Ames, Iowa. Winona and Alison Bernard Coy were married June 4, 1945. She enjoyed being a house wife and raising her children. Her grandchildren were very special to her. In her free time, Winona enjoyed crocheting and going to dances to hear the music of the bands Allison played in.

Winona passed away at 88 years of age on January 16, 2016 at Bethany Life in Story City.

Winona is survived by her children, Fred (Judy) Coy of Ames, Sally (Dave) Yetter of Ames, Michael Dean Coy of Ames, and Kathy (Norm) Carlson of Ames; her four grandchildren, Tracy Yetter of Story City, Jeff (Casey) Yetter of Story City, Craig Carlson of Des Moines and Chris Carlson of Boone; her cousins, nieces and nephews; and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Allison.
