Maxwell, Dec. 16--Mrs. Frank Hill and daughter, Amy, received the sad news of the death of their daughter and sister Mrs. Ava Hill Barker at her home at Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Barker had the influenza followed with pneumonia the husband was also sick at the hospital with the "flu" at the time of her death. She leaves her husband, two children and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller, and a sister Amy, and other relatives and friends, a brother having preceded her to the great beyond. Her mother and sister who have been sick at Maxwell with the influenza and recovered so they could go to Bayard to visit, left from that city on Sunday for Los Angeles. "Miss Amy" was principal of the Maxwell schools and her many friends of the family extend profound sympathy to the bereaved ones.
