From Nevada Representative June 2, 1886

Cambridge.

....There are eleven cases of measles in town....Died of measles and lung fever, Sunday night May 23d, Minnie, the daughter of Ole Eide. She was buried in the cemetery on mile south of Huxley. Mr. Lars Kloster and family, who a short time ago came from Norway, lived in a part of Mr. Eide's house; and it was in his family, Kloster's, that the measles first broke out. Where the contagion came from is not known; there were at that time no case of measles in this vicinity. These families have been quarentined by the health officer; and we hope the contagion will not extend to other parts of town....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Minnie Olida Eide was the daughter of Ole Larson Eide and Aase Tormodsdtr Monson.
