Obituary.
DIED, at his home in Nevada, Friday evening, May 21st 1886, Addison McGloflin, aged 74 years and 15 days.
The deceased wa born in West Virginia, May 6, 1812. He removed in early life to Gallipolis, Ohio, and in 1858 to Iowa. Most of the time since that date he has been in Story county, and for the last ten years in Nevada. About two years ago he suffered an attack of paralysis, since which time he had been in feeble health. His death, however, came quite suddenly, his condition having been regarded as critical for only about three days before his dissolution. he joined the Methodist Episcopal church about forty years ago, and lived a quiet unassuming Christian life. Throughout his illness and suffering he bore his trials with Christian fortitude, often expressing a willingness to die, and believing that death would open to him a glorious immortality. The funeral services were conducted at his late residence, Sunday afternoon, by Rev. A. T. Jeffrey, assisted by Rev. J. Fegtley, and was attended by a large circle of friends, sympathizing deeply with the sorrowing family.
