From Nevada Representative January 13, 1886

In addition to the brief notice last week of the death of Mrs. Mary O'Donnell, the following has been handed to us: Mrs. O'Donnell, then Miss Wilson, served for a time in The REPRESENTATIVE printing office, at Nevada, after which she taught school for a time. In addition to her having left an amiable and worthy sister, (Mrs. Anna Snyder,) and Mr. Cal S. Snyder her brother-in-law and a kind husband, she left adopted parents* well in years, to mourn, to grieve, to sorrow! Her husband was present at the time of her death. She had been staying for a time with her sister trusting she would to some extent, recover her health so as to return in the spring to her beautiful and cozy home at Hastings, Neb. Alas! she has returned! but returned in death--not to occupy a beautiful home, but to sleep the sleep of death in her lonely tomb where suffering and sorrow felt. I trust we all will meet again, but in a world of less cares, suffering and woe than this. Farewell, Dear Mary, farewell! A DEAR FRIEND.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mary Wilson was "adopted" by the William Gilmer Allen family. In the 1870 census she resides with them while her sister, Anna Wilson (later Anna Snyder as referenced) lived with the William E. Armstrong family.
