Alice Baldus, age 81, of Nevada, Iowa, died Friday, October 30, 2015, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, with Pastor David R. Burling officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Born June 9, 1934, in Story County, Iowa, Alice Virginia Baldus was the daughter of Guy and Hazel (Zeener) Guge. She grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School.

On June 20, 1953, Alice was united in marriage to Donald Baldus in Nevada. Three children, DuWayne, Cindy, and Roxane were born to this union. Alice enjoyed gardening, canning, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, DuWayne Baldus of Loveland, CO, Cindy (Jay Lehr) Stevens of Indianapolis, IN, and Roxane (Bruce) Lampe of Nevada; six grandchildren, Kristina, Meghann, Brandon, Erin, Carrie, and Dani; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Eli, and Dillan; a brother, Eldon (Paula) Guge of Ames; as well as other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald on January 19, 2015; and a half-brother, John Turner.

Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Alice and her family.
