--Mrs. Jas. Holcomb of Zearing died at her home Monday morning. She had been sick for about a year but her death was unexpected.

....Mrs. Mary Holcomb, wife of James Holcomb, who lives about two miles north of Zearing died Monday morning June 8th. The funeral which was a very large one, was held at the Illinois Grove school house Tuesday. The sermon was by Rev. Alanson Stebbins. She was buried in Illinois Grove cemetery....The deceased was an old resident of the township and much respected and esteemed by her friends and neighbors....
