From Nevada Representative April 16, 1884
Cambridge.
DIED, at her home, quarter of a mile south of Cambridge, on Friday, April 17th, Mrs. Clarissa Chamberlain. Mrs. Chamberlain was born in Wheelersburg, Ohio, May 29th, 1819, and was therefore almost 65 years old. Her maiden name was Baccus. She married Oliver Chamberlain, Jan. 2nd, 1838. They moved to Story county, Iowa 1857. Mrs. Chamberlain was the mother of 13 children, eight boys and five girls, eight of whom are living, five boys and three girls. Three of her sons served in the army. She had been an invalid nearly ten years. All that money, skill, and kind friends could do was done for her. It was a great surprise to all who knew her that she lingered so long, considering her condition. She was buried in the grave yard north-west of town. The above facts were given as by a member of the family and are doubtless correct.
