Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Joshua was born January 30, 1993 to Doug and Desiree (Freerks) Darland in Ames, Iowa. He lived in Randall and Story City his entire life. His favorite sports teams to watch were the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed playing his X-Box, listening to various genres of music and watching movies.

Joshua A. Darland passed away at 22 years of age on October 19, 2015 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Doug and Desiree Darland of Story City; grandparents, James Freerks of Story City, Doug and Linda Darland of Clarion, IA, great grandmother, Frances Freerks of George, IA; and one brother, Jason Darland of Story City.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonnie Freerks; uncle, Don Darland; and cousin, Brian Powell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
