Roger L. Taylor was born November 24, 1946 to Wendell and Florence (Bauer) Taylor in Benton County, Iowa. On November 18, 1977, he was united in marriage to Marsha Hoffman. They lived in Story City and raised three children, Christy, Melaunie and Danny.

Roger owned two businesses, TNT Welding for 39 years and in 1996, he started up Central Iowa Doors Stores.

Roger was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Story County Shriners. He loved spending time at the golf course. Most of all, Roger loved being with his grandchildren.

Roger passed away at 68 years of age on October 19, 2015 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Roger is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Marsha Taylor of Story City; his children, Christy (Jeremy) Clark of Des Moines, Melaunie Ramler of Ellsworth and Danny Taylor of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Logan Hassebrock, Kyle Weuve, Brady Weuve, McKenna Ramler, Jilane McFadden and Jake McFadden; and his brothers, Gary (Sue) Taylor of Cedar Rapids, Duane (Ruth) Taylor of Huxley and Dale (Mary) Taylor of North Yarmouth, ME.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Dean Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
