Clyde Nason, 87, of Ames, passed away October 9, 2015 at Israel Family Hospice House. No services are planned.

Clyde Karnig Nason was born November 9, 1927 to Karnig and Susie (Merzoian) Nason in Pasadena, California. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1948. Clyde received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and worked as a mechanical engineer for a number of companies, including Siemens. He enjoyed woodworking and reading about mathematics and physics.

Clyde is survived by his sons, John (Mary) Nason of Ames and Robert (Karen) Nason of Jarrell, TX; and five grandchildren, Adelade, Brendan, Rebecca, Justin and Katie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kay Nason; and his sisters, Vera Nason and Evelyn Hengsteller.
