Mrs. Amalie Hanson, a widow of several years and aged 83 years died at her home, just north of town, last Sunday. She was a native of Denmark, Europe, and came to this country some thirty years ago and has lived most of the time on the farm where she passed away. She is pronounced by those who knew her to have lived a worthy christian life and to have won the esteem of neighbors and acquaintances. Her funeral services were held at the home, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Dahlstrum of Des Moines and Rev. Mr. Sanford of Nevada, conducting them, the former in the Danish language, the latter in English. Six children survive their mother, Hannah the home keeper, Mrs. Chris Rasmussen and Hans Hanson of this county and Chris Hanson of Minnesota and two sons, William and Mont of Chicago. A large attendance at the funeral testified to the high estimation in which she was ehld by the circle of her acquaintance.
