COLO REPRESENTATIVE

Mrs. Chas. Barr who was for many years a resident of this community passed away early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Hopkins at Ames. Mrs. Barr was taken sick nearly two months ago and has bee in a critical condition most of the time since, but for more than a week she had appeared much better and hope for recovery was revived. Death came very suddenly with scarcely a moment's warning. Funeral services were conducted at St. Cecelia church in Ames at 10:30 this morning and interment made in St. James cemetery at Colo. She leaves to mourn their loss one son, William Barr of Ames, two daughters, Mrs. Steve Carmody of Zearing and Mrs. P. F. Hopkins of Ames, besides many other relatives and hosts of friends. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
