Funeral services for Mrs. E. H. Harsh nee Alma Vasey, 52, were held (rest of sentence is missing).

Burial was in the Peoria Cemetery. Mrs. Harsh had lived on the farm of her father, the late Wm. Vasey south of Collins most of her life. She and her husband lived on the Geo Harsh farm in this township several years, a short time near Baxter, and the past year at Collins, and spent last winter at Colorado Springs. She has been in poor health several years, but seriously ill this fall. She was taken to Iowa City for surgery and later taken to Nevada, where she died Wednesday, November 4th.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, Harsh Community Club for many years. She was a music teacher and always helped with the music and church work whenever she could. Her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hand, and Miss Ellen Vasey and brothers, John, Jesse, Raleigh and Chas. Survive. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa 12 Nov 1936.

Funeral services for Mrs. E. H. Harsh, who passed away at Iowa sanitarium at Nevada Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 4, were held at the Collins Methodist church Friday at 2:00 p.m. The funeral message by Judge Rutherford and the music were brought by electrical transcription and were most impressive.

Burial was in the Peoria cemetery west of Collins.

Alma Vasey Harsh, daughter of William and Ana Vasey was born on a farm in Jasper county, a few miles southwest of Collins, November 29, 1881, and departed this life Wednesday afternoon, November 4, at the age 54 years, 11 months and five days.

She grew to womanhood in that vicinity and was united in marriage on October 22, 1903, to Euclid H. Harsh of Collins.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, four brothers, John Vasey of Austin, Minn., Charles, Jesse and Raleigh Vasey of Collins, two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Hand and Miss Ethel Vasey of near Nevada, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.
