Joyce was born to Ernest R. and Herma S. (Stensland) Beach on April 13, 1934 in Ames, Iowa. She worked over 30 years as a data processor for the City of Ames. Joyce was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. She lived in Roland from 1968 to 1980 and then moved to Ames. She had many groups of friends and belonged to the Ames Women’s Club. She loved to travel all over the world. Reading and playing cards were her favorite past times. Joyce loved her children and grandchildren very much.

Joyce Kareen McWillliams of Ames passed away May 14, 2015 at Mary Greeley Medical Center, in Ames at 81 years of age.

Joyce is survived by her children: Sandy (Lon) Strum of Roland, IA; Craig McWilliams of Nevada, IA and Douglas (Deb) McWilliams of Wasilla, Alaska; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial has been established in her name.
