ARDYCE M. ANDERSON

Funeral services for Ardyce Mavis Anderson, 58, Roland, were held Oct. 31 at the Bergen Lutheran Church, Roland, with the Rev. Howard Lybeck officiating. Burial was in the Roland Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson died Oct. 27 at Story City Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for five days following a five month illness.

Born Dec. 1, 1911 on a farm south of Ellsworth, she was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Roland.

She and Orville A. Anderson were married Jan. 9, 1935 at Ellsworth. The Andersons farmed in the Roland Randall community.

Mrs. Anderson was employed by the United States Department of Agriculture as a federal poultry inspector and had worked at the Land of Lakes processing plant in Ellsworth for 13 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Ryan, Fort Dodge, and Mrs. Nancy Eischen, Roland; three sons, Larry Anderson of Huxley, Paul Anderson of Kelley and Roger Anderson, a student at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mae Swenson Vold, Ellsworth; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Collins of Lynwood, Calif., Mrs. Esther Brock of Woolstock and Mrs. Betty Hale, Newton; three brothers, Porter Vold of 1102 Duff Ave., Robert Vold of Stanhope and Grant Vold, Story City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Axel and two brothers, Clifford and Sterling.

Pallbearers were Douglas Vold, Roger Vold, Wayne Brock, Jim Hale, Bob Anderson and John Heggem.
