Alice Neasham Miller
(February 6, 1913 - August 20, 2009)

Alice Neasham Miller went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2009. Alice was born in Nevada, Iowa on February 6, 1913 to Fred and Alice Neasham. She was raised in Nevada and attended Iowa State Teacher’s College then taught First Grade after graduation. She married Homer Miller in Nevada, Iowa on June 6, 1937. The newlyweds lived in Waterloo, Iowa near the Miller family and began their family there. Victoria Anne and Alice Donna were born in Iowa. Alice and Homer worked hand in hand on a 1500-acre farm in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where they added to their family with their son, Thomas N. Miller. With young children in tow they moved to Enterprise, Oregon to join forces in a lumber business with Mose Miller, brother to Homer. Alice lovingly raised her children there until they moved to Walla Walla, Washington where Vicky and Donna graduated from high school. Homer then followed other lumber business ventures. Later, they moved to Grandview, Washington, purchased an apple orchard, and Tom finished the last two years of High school in Grandview. Alice was an active member of the PEO and held the position of president several times throughout the years. Alice was an artistic and musical woman who enjoyed playing the piano, painting, knitting, and quilting. One way she shared her love of beauty was by calling loved ones to share beautiful sunsets. After a long and fruitful life, Alice leaves a loving family including her son Thomas and his wife Connie Miller, her daughter Donna Miller, eleven grand children, twenty-five great grandchildren, and three great-great grand children. In heaven, Alice joins her husband of fifty years, Homer Miller, her daughter Victoria Kendrick, her grandson Joshua Kendrick, and her sister Lucy Roths. She has made her life an example through not only her decision to accept Jesus as Savior, but also through the parental love and wisdom as observed by her family! A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Oasis Chapel, 11106 Sunrise Blvd. East, Puyallup, WA 98374. Those who are able to attend please contact,Connie at 305-0395 or Jenny at 253-651-2436. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Prosser Hospice.
